Perched on the winding slopes of Hong Kong’s Graham Street, Courtroom exhibits a space where the serious meets the whimsical. Inspired by the range of infamous court cases that blur the lines of convention – spanning serious matters to circus-like drama-filled affairs – Hong Kong bar industry heavyweights Saan Dhakal (former Group Beverage Creative Director of the LOCKDOWN and Penicillin Bar group) and Ranjeet Khatri (ex-manager of Tell Camila Bar) present Courtroom: a bar that is sensibly contradictory.
Courtroom's logo—a monkey swinging from legal scales—captures the venue's playful contradiction between mischievous eccentricity and legal formality. Inside, guests are welcomed by this cheeky mascot amid a sophisticated, judiciary-themed interior designed for 32. Unique decor elements, like a witness stand table and a martini-holding Lady Justice, set the stage for an immersive experience. The bar serves an inventive cocktail menu, including experimental concoctions crafted in a downstairs lab. Additionally, Courtroom champions social sustainability, partnering with NGOs to address mental health and social issues within the F&B industry. Their upcoming mental health seminar on October 10th exemplifies this commitment, aiming to foster meaningful dialogue while offering delicious cocktails. With an ever-evolving music program and vibrant atmosphere, Courtroom invites guests to savor the unexpected—case closed!
