1800 Tequila, the world’s most awarded tequila brand, is proud to announce the launch of its latest masterpiece, 1800 GuachiMonton™, distributed by Octopus Distribution Networks. This añejo tequila, a blend of time-honored Mexican traditions and contemporary craftsmanship, is set to make its debut in Singapore offering consumers a taste of the rich cultural heritage of the Tequila Valley.

Named after the stunning archaeological site of Los Guachimontones, 1800 GuachiMonton is a tribute to the circular pyramids that were constructed from the same red clay soil found in the region, where the finest Blue Weber agave is cultivated. Dubbed “the archeological jewel of Jalisco,” Guachimontones also served as a gathering space for ceremonial rituals for the Teuchitlán people to celebrate the cycles of life and agriculture. Housed in a striking red ceramic bottle with a circular wooden cap, 1800 GuachiMonton embodies the essence of this prominent heritage site and promises to elevate the experience of tequila appreciation to new heights.

What sets 1800 GuachiMonton apart from its predecessors is its meticulous production process. Crafted exclusively from 100% Blue Weber agave, the agave plants are grown and nurtured for six to eight years on a single estate within the Tequila Valley. The harvesting process is followed by a 40-hour cooking period in traditional masonry ovens, ensuring that the agave retains its natural flavors. After double distillation, the añejo tequila is aged for a minimum of 12 months in both American and French oak barrels. The final touch is a finishing period in orange tequila liqueur casks, utilizing a fruit that shares the same terroir of the Tequila Valley, which lends a sophisticated citrus nuance to bridge the past with this modern, well-structured spirit.

An essential aspect of the 1800 GuachiMonton brand is its commitment to cultural preservation. The inspiration drawn from the red clay soil of Los Guachimontones pyramids extends beyond the product itself; 1800 Tequila is dedicated to supporting the conservation of this UNESCO World Heritage site. This includes contributions to the site’s museum and initiatives that promote the cultural, artistic, and educational heritage of the region. By choosing 1800 GuachiMonton, consumers are not only indulging in a sumptuous tequila experience but also participating in the preservation of a significant cultural legacy.

“1800 GuachiMonton not only represents the roots of Mexican tradition and culture but also Mexican terroir and ritual,” says Alex Coronado, Master Distiller and Head of Production. “A nod to the fragrant orange trees surrounding the pyramids of Los Guachimontones and our family-owned distillery, the liquid is inspired by the timeless ritual of plucking fresh oranges to garnish a glass of Añejo. Its decadent and persistent orange citrus flavor profile provides a premium, modern twist to an already luxurious Añejo tasting experience.”

1800 GuachiMonton presents a harmonious blend of warm caramel and toffee notes, complemented by subtle vanilla and delicate orange blossom. The tequila culminates in a bouquet of candied fruit, smooth chocolate, and lingering spice, creating an intricate flavor profile that invites exploration. This complexity makes 1800 GuachiMonton an excellent choice for both classic and innovative cocktails.

For example, an Old Fashioned crafted with 1800 GuachiMonton highlights treacly spiced undertones, while a Tequila Sunrise accentuates its vibrant citrus finish. Whether enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as part of a carefully curated cocktail menu, 1800 GuachiMonton redefines the añejo tequila experience.

1800 GuachiMonton will be available for purchase in Singapore at premium cocktail bars such as Burnt Ends Bar and High House, ensuring that consumers can easily access this premium spirit. Home delivery options are provided by Cellarbration, where tequila enthusiasts can order directly from their website. Additionally, 1800 GuachiMonton will be featured in select bars, like Burnt Ends Bar and High House, plus more.

As 1800 GuachiMonton makes its grand entrance in Singapore, the team invites tequila lovers and drink aficionados to join in celebrating this remarkable addition to the 1800 Tequila family. With its rich history, elegant flavor profile, and commitment to cultural preservation, 1800 GuachiMonton is more than just a spirit; it is an experience that transports imbibers to the heart of Jalisco, Mexico.
